Had a quick skim through your tutorial today, one thing stood out as incorrect.

“Note that you can only use one select statement in a thconfig file, and it does not matter where in the file you put it. I always put it at the top so it is easy to spot. If you put in select statements for more than one map then only one of them will be used.“

 

We routinely use thconfig files with multiple select statements for maps with the same projection.

All of the maps are produced in the resulting pdf (and other) files.  As with Therion’s typical treatment of lists of drawn entities, the first map listed is in the top layer of the pdf, and the last map is in the bottom layer.
