With the addition of a third draughtsperson to our
project, whose name comes early in the alphabet, and who has clearly drawn much
less than us two oldies, it’s become apparent that 5.3.11 sorts
cartographers names alphabetically rather than by length of centreline
associated with their drawings.
Not sure if this was the case with 5.3.10, but
certainly the default sort order for explo-length and topo-length changed with
5.3.11 as described here
To make matters worse, I thought I would display only
the ‘top 2’ draughtspeople,
statistics carto
2
and it dumped my name because it is alphabetically
towards the end of the alphabet, despite having drawn most of the cave (well
maybe second most, but at least 100x more length than the newcomer). I
may have a bias due to conflict of interest, but it seems like an
unsatisfactory situation to me that the ‘top two’ cartographers is
based on alphabetical rank rather than drawing rank.
Is it possible to make the carto statistics syntax
and behaviour consistent with explo and topo statistics in 5.3.12?
A sample layout of mine below shows how they all work
together, and how what I am requesting might fit in.
